LC CLASSIFICATION

Library of Congress (LC) call numbers are used by Hofheimer Library to indicate where on the shelves you will find a specific book or books on a specific topic.

The LC System is used by most academic libraries.

Call numbers will include both letters and numbers in a certain order; the full call number identifies a specific book.

PRINT INDEXES

Hofheimer Library has a number of print indexes which are useful for locating older articles..

Journal Finder will indicate if the library has access to a specific journal or magazine.

Library databases provide extensive indexing and access to current and older journal and magazine articles.
