3D Printing in the Marlins Creative Bay at Hofheimer Library

The Marlins Creative Bay near the Circulation Desk at Hofheimer Library currently houses a Ultimaker 3.  VWU students, faculty, and staff may request 3D print jobs. All 3D print jobs for students must be for a class. Please make an appointment with Sarah Shiplet using the 3D Consultation Form or by clicking on "Schedule Appointment" in the right column. A consultation appointment must be completed before the 3D print job can be completed.

What is 3D Printing?

3D printing is a process for making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model, typically by laying down many successive thin layers of a material.

The Creative Bay on the first floor of Hofheimer Library houses the 3D printer, the Ultimaker 3.

Specifications on the Ultimaker 3 printer can be found on the company website.
