SERVICE GUIDE: PATRONS WITH DISABILITIES

The Henry Clay Hofheimer II Library strives to provide the highest quality resources and services to meet the research and informational needs of students, faculty and staff of the Virginia Wesleyan University community. In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, the staff will provide accommodations and appropriate services to assist patrons with disabilities.

 

The library staff will make every reasonable accommodation to ensure patron access to library resources. These accommodations include but are not limited to assistance with:

 

  • copy machines
  • retrieving books or other materials from the library shelves
  • conducting library research
  • checking out, returning and/or renewing library materials
  • access to library study rooms, equipment and computers
