Persepolis is a 2007 French-American animated film; the poignant coming-of-age story of a precocious and outspoken young Iranian girl that begins during the Islamic Revolution. Persepolis won the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
