Place the roll on the left spindle (push hard till it locks in place), feed the film under the white spool, toggle the black switch to the left & push up the film holder lid, feed film across window, under right hand white spool and onto take-up reel.
- Close the film holder lid by pressing down till it clicks.
- Press the Reel Motor switch above right white spindle (horizontal line is on and circle is off) to turn on the motor for the film spools.
- Turn right reel knob clockwise until you see image of page appear under the lens.
- If necessary, turn ViewScan Lens head 90º to see image vertically on monitor. (Lens head is above the film/fiche viewing area.)
- Once the film is loaded, use the reel controls and the front handle until you can see some part of the image.
- Next step: use the VIEWER MODE controls to refine image. (next section)
