The controls listed on this page are used to adjust and focus the view of the film or fiche image. This Control Panel is located on the right, top front of the microform viewer.
The far, left button changes what you see on the monitor to either the PC or the microform viewer.Toggles back and forth between monitor and viewer each time you press this button.
The next button rotates the image 180 degrees (flips image upside down).
Copy button: NOT IN USE (If this is accidentally pressed, just press the first Viewer PC button and it returns to normal setting.)
The white dial on the far right is the zoom dial with the Auto Focus button in the center. Use this to enlarge or shrink the image you want to view. Press center AF (auto focus) button as desired. Note: you can use both the dial and auto focus multiple times until the image is clear.
The Lamp button turns on either the overhead lamp or the lamp under the image. Takes a minute to come on. Touch once for overhead and touch again for under image. This button has 3 modes: 1) Press once to turn on overhead light (used for viewing opaque cards); 2) Press again to turn on lamp under image; and 3) press again to turn off.
The next 2 buttons are for brightness of the image. Press the left button to decrease the brightness and press the right button to increase the brightness. You can press and hold the buttons to adjust brightness; there is a slight delay in seeing the changes.
Flips the image backwards/forwards as needed to view correct image.
Use if necessary to adjust the view, white text on black background or black text on white background.
