How to Find Basic Company Information

Typically, you can find basic company information in many annual reports.

Most of the information can be found in Market Atlas (Mergent Market Atlas).

  1. Find Market Atlas under Business Databases
  2. Log-in
  3. Search for the company name in the search box to the right (Note: Will auto complete)
  4. Select the appropriate company
  5. On the next screen, begin to gather company info.

Other information

  1. Scroll down and you will see the Company Details tab highlighted
  2. Select History to see a timeline
  3. Select Capital Stock to find the Ticker Symbol and Stock Exchange
